Get a photo of the authenticity tag if he still has it. If you buy from the Giorgio line, there should be NO eagle on the tag, this is used on Emporio garments only. Inside the authenticity tag, you should see a letter and a group of numbers in the bottom right hand corner (usually the letter C, in fact I have never seen an authenticity tag without the letter C). There should be nine numbers next to it, the letter should be green or greenish and the numbers should be black. If both the letter and numbers are BLACK, or any other color, it is a fake.
The authenticity tag is the easiest way to spot a fraud, but if thats unavailable remember to take a close look at the tag. The tag should always be relatively small on the upper back, and a larger tag is sometimes inside the breast on jackets or cardigans.|||Lady's Man - thanks very much, that's an excellent answer, but I'm a bit confused about exactly what you mean by the authenticity tag. Do you mean the bit of paper that comes with a brand new suit? What exactly does it look like? Thanks.
